Masonic Scientologists?!

Since, you know, all of us here at Eyejabber are hard core, old school, gang banging thugs we like to keep track of our peeps, ho’s and heros. In doing exactly that I ran across a rather interesting video which goes through and shows the rather bizarre connection between many of the more well known rappers, and some other well known oguls in the world.

The allegation is that Jay-Z, NAS, and kanye West are Masons based on the clothing they wear, some blurry photographs of hand shakes on stage, and the fact that they use a “known” masonic hand gesture. Oh, and they talk about secret societies in their music (as evidenced by the backing music to the clip).

I’d be willing to look past some of the items that are just plain off, like the Roca Wear logo. Apparently this is some sort of mystical link to the New World Order, or a coded message that the standard fat, white, male Mason needs to listen to Jay-Z. To me it looks like a bastardized version of “Virgo.” The video even shows the symbols one after the other.

Then there’s the fact that these rappers and Viacom’s president are using the same symbol. A little off there, but why not. But then, they get to a shot showing Tom Cruise using that same hand gesture next to Jay-Z. And then there’s Tony Shaloub, doing the same. Huh, interesting. As soon as I saw this shot the only thing I could think of is “some rapper somewhere saw this hang gesture, decided it looked cool, copied it, and now Hollywood’s favorite Xemu lover is trying to be cool and copy it too.” Far fetched? Sure. Worth a watch? Eh, why not.

So, ladies and gentlemen, which is it. Is there a giant conspiracy by members of the Recording Ass. of America, or is it copy-cat “I want to be cool like that fool” actions?
